Since 2003, Dr. Danahey has been a part of surgical volunteer missions with Children’s Surgery International. Children’s Surgery International, formerly part of Operation Smile, is a Minnesota-based, non-profit volunteer organization whose focus is to serve the underprivileged of the world by providing specialized medical and surgical services. Their primary focus is cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries. The physician selection process is done by invitation only from one of the CSI board members.
